Message from the Executive Director

Executive Director Craig McAteeATC Colleagues and Friends,

First, I want to say thanks to the wonderful folks at Bluegrass Technical College & AMTEC in Kentucky for hosting an uber-successful NCATC Summer Workshop in June 2011. What a great way to start the summer! We have been working diligently this year to coordinate our 2011 Annual Fall Conference, hosted by the Chattanooga State Community College and Tennessee Technology Centers (TTC), and we continue to refine the format of that schedule. This year we are adding an “Industry Partner Focus” on Wednesday that will highlight even more success stories involving community/technical colleges with industry along with superb workshops, breakout sessions, speakers, and college/industry tours. And remember—all meals are included in the registration fee—something many conferences do not offer. Chattanooga is an amazing manufacturing and energy producing corridor in the southern part of our U.S. and has much innovation, advanced technology, and successful partnerships to share. Their ongoing success in receiving funding support from the National Science Foundation, Department of Labor, and others will also be highlighted. Chattanooga State and TTC are two of the premier advanced technology /manufacturing-focused training and education organizations in the country. I’m confident you’ll be satisfied with what you take away from your time in Tennessee, October 5-7, 2011.  I truly look forward to seeing each of you this fall!

Best Regards,

Craig
