Jeff has a B.S. degree from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A. from Averett University. Prior to joining the Danville Community College staff in 1993, he spent fifteen years in manufacturing in both production and quality positions. For the past ten years, Jeff served as the Director of the Center for Business, Industry, and Government (C-BIG). Currently, Jeff is serving as the Director of Business, Industry, and Economic Assistance for Danville Community College.
He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee's Center for Productivity Through Quality and the Design of Experiments Institute and is a certified instructor for Kepner-Tregoe's Analytical Trouble Shooting courses, Zenger-Miller/Achieve Global’s Leadership training courses, and Plexus ISO 9000/QS-9000 Core Tools training systems. Jeff has received ISO 9000 Lead Assessor training through the Cranfield Institute of England and currently chairs the Virginia Community College System's ISO/QS-9000 Partnership. He has also completed the University of Kentucky’s Lean Certification Training.

Jeff is a veteran and served in the US Army from 1972 - 1975. He and his wife Kelly, have a 9 year old son and an 8 year old daughter and live in Halifax, VA. He is active in many civic and church organizations.
