Henry Lee Wade, Jr. was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1956. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree and his Master of Architecture degree from Tuskegee Institute. He has completed work towards a Juris Doctor degree at Miles School of Law.
Hank is currently with the State of Alabama College System teaching architectural, mechanical and GIS/GPS courses. He was previously a Project Manager with SRW & Associates in Birmingham, Alabama. Past positions include: Associate with the Montgomery Architectural Office of McKissack & McKissack Architects, a Project Coordinator with Gresham, Smith and Partners in Birmingham, Alabama, Project Manager with The Owens and Woods Partnership in Birmingham, Alabama and Project Designer for Bailey-Corley and Associates in Homewood, Alabama. During his tenure with McKissack & McKissack Architects, Mr. Wade helped establish the Montgomery satellite office, where he served as Director of Architecture for six regional offices including Montgomery.
Experience and education have provided over 20 consistent years of achieving superior work results and effective implementation in the construction industry. Hank has had management authority over as many as ten ongoing projects, with budgets involving sophisticated medical and research facilities. He has focused experience in design, obtaining approvals, project management and coordination between client, architect, engineer and consultant. He has provided effective direction of these activities on such project types as hospital institutions, research and development facilities, industrial, commercial, residential and educational facilities where project size has ranged from $300,000 to $100 million.
