Dorothy has been the Associate Dean of the School of Technology and Applied Sciences at Milwaukee Area Technical College since 1996. She oversees the college’s manufacturing programs, apprenticeship programs and courses, the ECAM Technology Center’s advanced manufacturing initiatives, and program advisory committee activities. Prior to her current position, Dorothy served MATC as apprentice coordinator and as a welding instructor.

Dorothy was the first female welding instructor in the Wisconsin Technical College System and has served on numerous state and local advisory groups and task forces related to welding and apprenticeships. In her local community, Dorothy serves on the task force for diversity at MATC, works with community based organizations, provides mentor training, and serves Community Baptist Church as chair of its educational board.

Dorothy earned an A.A.S. degree in welding technology, a B.S. degree in vocational-technical and adult education, and an M.S. degree in training and development from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
