Jack has been with Florence-Darlington Technical College since September of 2003. Since being with the college he has been the Dean of the Continuing Education Division and was also the project manager for the construction of the new Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT). The SiMT is the college's proactive initiative to provide business and industry a resource for customized hi-tech manufacturing training and specialized services.

Prior to working with SiMT, Jack spent 29 years working in the Automotive Industry supply chain. He was with Borg-Warner Corporation in Decatur, Illinois for five years and with ArvinMeritor Corporation in Marion, South Carolina for twenty-four years. He held a variety of positions with both companies, including Product Engineer, Engineering/Marketing Manager, Quality Manager, Business Unit Manager and Director of Advanced Product Development. He was also a member of the ArvinMeritor Corporate Engineering Council.

Jack has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of South Carolina and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He has also been an engineering mentor for five years with the Marion County FIRST Robotics Team 1051.
