Subject Matter Expert – As the Advanced Manufacturing Regional Director for four California Counties and the Director for the College District’s manufacturing training center, I address workforce skill caps with advanced technology training resources. As a member of several Manufacturing Advisory Boards, I ensure relevant and timely training programs are accessible and viable, based on industry demands associated with additive and subtractive manufacturing.

I create industry-recognized training programs, to include National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications to achieve effective, standardized training programs. I work closely with Contract Education programs, as an initial pipeline to quickly satisfy industry workforce needs, while simultaneously developing college Non-Credit training classes for trainees to become registered students.

I recently accepted the position as Executive Director for the Uniquely Abled Academy Project at the College of the Canyons – a pilot program to place highly functioning autistic workers in CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machining positions within industry.

Administrative Manager – I have actively led project  developments from  “cradle to grave”. As Director of complex, technical programs within the   California Community College system, I have authored near term action plans, quantifiable goals and objectives, and viable long-term strategic   proposals.

As an academic manager, I have experience with learning outcomes, student access and success, FTES measures, Ed code, Title 5, and a variety of best practices to achieve student success.

My leadership roles have involved -

o   Performing all aspects of personnel supervision, to include - recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation of both academic and staff personnel.

o   Directly overseeing facility operations to include - lease contracts · parking requirements · backup power supply · hardware and                   software security contracts · utility accounts · safety requirements · Internet/communication contracts · and custodial                              agreements.

o   Managing multiple complex budgets - Federal and state grants, including general, categorical, and foundation funds

Collaborator – I have the skills and experience to effectively communicate, inspire, and engage a variety of stakeholders towards collaboration and support. I’m at ease with any audience to foster new productive partnerships and to nurture existing relationships. I have authored numerous outreach documents and technical reports articulating complex concepts in clear and understandable presentations.

Routinely I have collaborated with private and government organizations, along with college administration and staff, to orchestrate work plans, workforce agreements, and advisory board structures. I continue to foster ties with local businesses by being an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary club.
